PROTECTION MEASURES
In a ever changing world with constant demands for

such demads have on the environment.
Having consideration and a full understand-ment of the
environmental protection principles, INTERMETAL, has
implemented a plan of investments aimed at preserving
and protecting the environment on the bases of the

Installation and operation of a AL
resedue gas and dust separation filters;

Operation of a cooling water treatment
unit and recycling unit of waste material;

Operation of a biological waste
treatment unit; |

Radioactivity control for raw materials
and finished products; |

Use of environment-friendly fuel and
energofluids (e.g. natural gas and
electricity); |

Utilization and proper disposal of solid
by-products into special storage facilities; |

Installation and operation of Air
Filtration systems for the constant control
and suppression of air pollutants; |

Systematic control of solid and liquid
waste according to analyses held within the
company and by external bodies; |

with Universities, research institutes and

Production
residue and Metal (Fe) additives
The residue which is created during the production
process is continually removed from the surface of
the melted AL and is placed in a special container
on the furnace platform. After a certain period of
cooling, the residue is stored in the closed
premises especially designated for the purpose.
